Abstract_Hilton-2024
In this talk we will describe our research into 3D printing with embedded catalysts for batch chemistry, the development and commercialisation of continuous flow reactors as well as more recent work covering the production of low-cost syringe pumps, fraction collectors and continuous flow photochemistry systems. As part of our transition into the digitisation of continuous flow chemistry, we will also discuss the creation of a unique Virtual Reality training environment for continuous flow chemistry as well as the integration of real time telemetry into this medium for global collaboration. As part of our digitisation approach, we will also describe our integration of AI conversation based avatars that are able to help chemists improve their continuous flow set-ups and to provide laboratory advice 24/7 for researchers in our new digital flow chemistry institute.
